ABOUT THE COLLEGE

​

The Bhawanipur Educational Society College was founded in 1966 through The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society, which was established with “Education for Excellence” as its motto. The college offers a number of Under-graduate Honours programs in four streams—Science, Arts, Commerce and Management and a Post-graduate degree course in Commerce and English, all under the University of Calcutta. Though skill-development is  one of the primary objectives of any institution of higher learning, the college seeks to contribute to nation-building in its own way by establishing itself as a centre of excellence, by ensuring that quality is the sole hallmark characterizing it, as far as student-profile, faculty-quality, infrastructure, the teaching-learning process, student-support, extension activities and administration are concerned.
